TL/DR: Buy it! One of my kids was bugging me for a 60% keyboard and I succumbed. My preference is for a mech 104-key which I use at work because I often use the number pad. Our compromise for home computer was this keyboard because of the side printed functions. Partly because my partner doesn't have to work too hard learning a new keyboard. So far everyone is glad we got this. I may get one for my laptop, that's how much I like using it. Programmability is not intuitive but quite easy if you rtm. I'm more of a bean counter and spreadsheet jockey than a programmer (hence the 104-key) but programming macros on the fly is awesome. Also, after remapping the caps lock to Fn, it's super easy to toggle layers and have exactly what I want. My kids get Layers 3 and 4 for their macros, one for each. Call it a win-win, I do! Our biggest compromise was to decide which switches. We ended up with Clears. Cause that's what I have on my work keyboard and I was the one paying. Might mean we buy a second KB for gaming. They will have to earn it.

Vortex POK3R Black Case Cherry MX Red Review

I'd give this keyboard a 4.5 if I could. The keyboard build is amazing. Just the right amount of weight for a 60% to feel sturdy. The programming of the keys is not intuitive but there are some pretty good tutorials online on how to do it. I personally use the dip switch to make the caps lock a function key since I don't personally use the caps lock. I got the white switches which I love. I think I prefer them to the blues since they are like a quieter sounding blue without the hard clack on the ears. The only reason I would take off half a start is that my 'A' and 'S' key started to fade after around 3-4 weeks of not too much usage when they should be double shot keyboard. If you are thinking about getting a 60% I would highly recommend this one and probably just snag some different keycaps like I did.
