  • Bought this keyboard last week and it arrived very quickly. Thanks mechanicalkeyboards.com!

The keyboard itself is awesome. I had a Ducky Shine 3 (Cherry MX brown) for the past 8 years that's served me well but I wanted to try something different and I mostly use the keyboard for gaming so I went with the Cherry MX Red switches on this Ducky One2 RGB. Going from brown to red switches is a big change and I'm still getting used to it. It doesn't quite have the same feeling for typing, but for playing any game while you hold buttons down (WASD/shift, ctrl, etc.) the reds do feel smoother and more responsive during gaming sessions. Double-tapping seems quicker and I'm not distracted by the little bump in the key. I was still able to hit well over 100 words per minute while typing on the cherry mx red switches, so it's still good for typing.

The Keyboard itself has great backlighting, the different modes are great. The PBT Keycaps are top notch and I like them a lot (I can't buy any keyboard with ABS Keycaps anymore after having the PBT Keycaps - the quality is seriously noticeable). The instructions for the keyboard were unclear to me at first, but once I figured out you have to hit FN (F6/7/8) multiple times to increase the brightness it made more sense as each one of the RGB colors has up to 10 levels of brightness and it changes colors based on which ones you hit and in which order.

I also tried putting Blue O-rings (Blue 40A-R WASD from Amazon ~$15), and tried it for a few days. I just wasn't getting the same feeling as without them so I took them off. I'm sure I could have gotten used to them. For the Cherry MX Browns I do recommend the O-rings, but for the Cherry MX Reds I just didn't like it that much. The keyboard also came with some extra bright yellow PBT keycaps for the arrow keys, backspace, escape, capslock, return key and a few others.

Overall the Ducky One2 RGB keyboard is great and I'm glad I went with this one after looking at others like the Steelseries APEX pro, and Corsair K100. I had a good experience with my Ducky Shine 3 (only 2 backlight LEDs have gone out in 8 years of constant use) and this keyboard appears to be top-notch quality as well. If it's in stock and has the switch type you like I would recommend purchasing it!

  • Overall I really like this keyboard. There is helft to it and feels premium. The keys are a good amount of clicky except for all the longer keys (ie. spacebar, return and delete and ' ' keys). These longer ones are too loud for me. I went and got some o rings on amazon for $7. For the extra loud keys like spacebar, I added 2 o rings to each section. It helped dampened the noise dramatically. After adding the o rings, I like it overall better now. Recommend this keyboard but you should get some o rings though.

  • Comparing this to the "Varmilo VA108M Double Rainbow 2" I give this keyboard a 3/5. It's not bad but the keypresses feel worse and it makes a "ping" instead of a "clack". The Varmilo suffers from this problem as well but less so, so I give that one a 4/5. Idk what happened, all my older Duckys didn't ping at all.

  • Bought it in Kailh Box White. I primarily use it for work in an office environment.
    - It has a nice heft to it. I was surprised by the weight when I first got it
    - Keys have a very crisp click to it and does not have annoying reverb you typically find in alot of keyboards
    - The keycaps feel very high quality
Lighting quality is not bad however I didn't care too much about RGB anyways because I use it for work. Overall, really high quality keyboard and I definitely recommend getting one.

  • good stuff

  • Bought this with Cherry browns in preference.
The weight, design and quality of the RGB is 10/10.
I daily this board and i love it!

  • I bought with the Kailh Box Silent Pink switches. It feels and types great. I was initially wary with the switches at first due to reported issues with the initial batch of switches double-clicking, but mine doesn't seem to have that issue (yet?). Sound-wise, it's pretty quiet; my G502's mouse click's noisier. Lighting wise, it's pretty nice, with several saved profiles, and several lighting modes to use. I used Ducky's software from their website to customize the lighting modes.
The only two cons is that there's no Ducky software to set the macros, and that I didn't get my free bonus sticker.

  • What a beautiful keyboard and the space bar that comes with it is amazing along with the colored key caps. Ducky has exceeded my expectations and I am in love with my keyboard. I ordered the cherry MX brown switches and couldn't be happier, typing on this keyboard is a dream. Thank you Mechanical Keyboards and Ducky.

  • Bought it with the kailh box silent pink switches and not only does it feel smooth but it is super quiet. Love it! I've been using it for a couple of hours and cannot stop typing with haha. I used it for both programming and video games, feels good with both. Finally, I can stay up at night without bothering anyone at home haha. Just that is worth the price.

  • This keyboard is great! I'm typing with it right now. I was expecting something worse than what I got. The keys are amazing the switches (cherry mx browns) sound great. It came in less than 3 days and a keycap puller along with some blue keycaps. If there was a rating higher than 5 I would rate this keyboard that number.

  • Got this keyboard with mx browns. Has a nice feel/sound and nice for Osu.

  • Very nice keyboard. Really enjoy using this for osu and playing stream maps is a lot more comfortable. Was using Razer Green Switches previously, and single-tapping jumps still feel more comfortable on Green Switches but adjusting to this keyboard's brown switches wasn't as bad as when I was using red switches(personally a tactile playstyle). I was a bit confused as to why my space bar has a design, but everything else looks just exactly like the preview.

  • Bought this one after spending many years with a cheap and crappy keyboard. I loved all the costumized keyboards I saw while browsing for the right keyboard but I just don't have the time and money to build one myself. Therefore I thought that this one would be a good start. And I definitely made the right choice.
I got the one with the brown MX Switches because I liked the sound of them and I'm really happy working with them now.
Despite Corona and the fact that I live in Germany the shipment was quite fast and it arrived within a week. It was also a lot cheaper to buy it here then at a German retailer.
Now I just have to get comfortable with the American layout but I guess I'll work that out fast.

  • I previously owned the Ducky Shine 3 with MX Blue's for almost 5 years now, but began to make myself go mad when I started to work from home with MX Blue's. So I found this and went with the MX Silent Reds. I will say, it is a huge change from MX Blue's so I am still adjusting, but I do really enjoy how quiet these are and how I can "float" type with them.

The construction is noticeably high quality as it has some good weight to it as well as being one shot PBT, which coming from the ABS Ducky Shine 3 it is immediately a noticeable improvement. The MX Silent Reds feel nice and smooth as well, I don't notice any of that "scratching" I heard about in some YouTube reviews about different types of switches. Some cool RGB features too. Only one and a half full work days in as well as some game time in the evenings but this thing is really growing on me.

  • I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. At first, I received an empty box with only an invoice inside. However, once I notified support, they quickly shipped out a replacement keyboard for me and I am very happy with the keyboard. The build quality feels very nice, and the RGB looks wonderful in a dark room. Ducky and Mechanicalkeyboards.com have earned a new customer. Overall I am very happy that I picked up this keyboard and would recommend it to anyone who likes typing or playing games.

  • Over all it's a very nice keyboard.
It has a couple of design issues with the RGB lighting that are dissappointing given the quality of the keyboard otherwise, but luckily I already knew about these from research before buying. (4 stars instead of 5 for this)
    In particular, be aware that
    - On several keys the RGB lighting is partially blocked (visible 'spots')
    - If you lean backwards the light shining from under the space bar will shine in your eyes through the gap (for this reason I swapped the decorated 'year of the x' space bar with the plain one and just turned off the lighting for that key)
    - (Personal preference) I'm not a big fan of the white background behind the keys that make the RGB brighter there, The lighting through the key letters is dim in comparison to the light that bleeds out between them. I'd prefer if the RGB mainly shined brightest through the key letters.
It's heavier than I expected and feels very high quality. I'm over all very pleased.
I got the silent red switches and they feel very nice and smooth, and quieter than my old keyboard. It's my first mechanical keyboard.
Hope this is helpful. If you're looking at buying this I'd consider whether you'd prefer the non-RGB version ('Phantom black'). I think I'll probably get the black if I get a second one or replacement.

  • Keyboard arrived right on time. The board itself has a lot of heft to it (nice weight) and the keys (brown switches) are nice and snappy. The frame itself is nice and slim, small footprint for a desk even at fullsize. I would definitely recommend it.

  • Just got this keyboard today for christmas. Already owned Mini version. Needed full size for school and certain games (sims 4, skyrim modded, etc). This thing is just as amazing as the mini! More lighting features too. Great size overall and very happy! (Using MX Silvers on both. Feels like red's imo but more sensitive.)

  • Amazing offering from Ducky. Have one for home and one for office use. Programmable RGB LEDs work amazingly and the free configuration software UI is great to use.

  • Had a bit of an issue with a lost shipment, but the customer service took care of that. Keyboard arrived a month after purchase but even with the delay, pretty satisfied with the purchase. The keys respond well and it has a good weight to it. The RGB features are pretty fun to play with.

  • This is the first mechanical keyboard that I've purchased and I LOVE it! I'm planning on buying one for my home office as well as one for my sister as a gift.

  • First mechanical keyboard I've had and I love it! I'm going to buy another for my sister!

  • Love the keyboard I got! Feels great and it even came with some extra keys that were pink and year of the boar space-bar. Super thrilled! I ended up swapping out most of the key-caps with white top/milky translucent sided keys. The RGB settings are a lot of fun. There's a lot of customization with all it's settings. It's beautiful and super stunning to look at.

  • This keyboard just arrived today and so far it's amazing!!! I'm using it to type this right now. I've never had an RGB keyboard before and I love it so much. I bought silver switches with mind and am not disappointed at all in the slightest. They sound and feel very good on this Ducky.

  • I snagged the full size Ducky One 2 RGB PBT, have been using it for a couple months and love this thing. Got the Cherry Browns and they type like a dream. I mostly use the keyboard for gaming and some light document typing and web browsing. Really like the design of the board, the key macro programming does take a bit of research but it's not too hard to figure out how to do (assigning your play/pause button etc). My prior board was a Corsair K70 and this one is far ahead for reliability and enjoyment.
My one complaint is that it was backordered and it took a couple months past the original estimate to arrive. Now that I have it though, no complaints about the actual KB.

  • I originally ordered the keyboard and it came in within a month, only to open the package like Kenneth and to find a dead duck. My keyboard was DOA and didn't have any connectivity. I tired different cables/ports/computers and still it wouldn't light up. I tried gently wiggling the USB-C cable in further, but it seemed to be in snug. I reluctantly sent it back for repair since I liked the red/pink key set that it shipped with. It took MK about a week to get to it, and within 2 hours of inspecting it they said it needed a part they didn't have. So they refunded my money, but by that time the same batch had sold out. So I had to wait for another batch of keyboards to get the MX Brown. I have been reading around and heard similar experiences recently, so Ducky must be having some QC issues. I however got the new one today and its working great.

I always heard so many people say they type a lot faster with these mechanical keyboards and I never really experienced it till I got this keyboard and started writing this review. I have yet to game on it, but this keyboard makes me very happy and I hope to pass it down to my little girl someday. I'm giving this a 4 since the first one was DOA (a dead duck).

  • Received this keyboard but didn't work out of the box, i'm sure I just got the bad end of the stick but this is unacceptable. I've tried multiple ways to see if the keyboard would work such as trying different usb ports on my pc and on a different pc entirely. I thought it was a bios error but all my usb ports are enabled in the bios. I'm also a little bummed because I am unable to keep the random color keycap that I received which in this case was pink and I have to order a completely new keyboard entirely. I still have faith in this keyboard and have ordered another one. Overall, I wasted my whole spring break waiting to use this high-respected keyboard. I still have faith in this model, however leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth.

  • This is a really stunning keyboard. It looks great and the lighting is very nice. It feels sturdy and is a joy to type on. However, I'm removing a star because the indicator lights for caps lock, num lock, etc are blinding and they include the red enter button by default. I used their included keycap puller and scratched the white backplate a fair bit removing that red key. The black key also seems to be a bit stiff to push down for some reason. It's definitely a nice keyboard with only minor drawbacks.

  • Ordered this on December 28th and finally got it today (March 4th), roughly a 3 month wait but honestly has been the best keyboard I've used. The RGB lighting is extremely smooth and evenly lit throughout. It's a very decent weight so there won't be any moving around or anything like that and with the added rubber material on the bottom of the little legs, it'll definitely stay in place. Mine came with the YOTD or whatever it's called spacebar which adds a really cool look to it and has a blank normal spacebar in case you don't like it. There's a keycap remover included and red extra keys for distinguishing I guess, personally the all black looks better, but that would be up to you. If I were to nitpick a tiny bit then the one thing would be that a few of the keys have a small amount of black behind the letter/function which kinda messes up a completely flawless keyboard but it's honestly unnoticeable when typing or looking at it except when like really close to it. Honestly would recommend if you like mechanical keyboards and want a simple and clean RGB full keyboard. Hope this helps!

  • This keyboard is fantastic! Well worth picking up.

  • Awesome keyboard. Top build quality and ergonomics. Thanks to mechanicalkeyboards.com. Fantastic store.

  • Fantastic keyboard and build quality, especially compared to traditional gaming keyboards. I got it with Cherry MX Silent Red, and it feels great. It comes with a Year of the Dog spacebar, some Ducky colored keycaps, and a keycap remover. The white exterior provides a neat contrast, and it uses a detachable USB Type C cable. If you're interested, the user manual describes how to create macros and program the RGB lighting. I re-programmed my Calc button to Play/Pause.

  • Received: 09/22/18
10/2/18: Keyboard still working great. I received the YOTD space bar which was a big surprise and i was hyped. Plus they released some software to let a tad more customizability to it. Some functions don't work but i am pretty sure they are going to update it. Only small problem was my stand(the highest one) seems to be cut a tad wrong so i got this cracking sounds when i tried to move it in that position. Over time it molded into a shape and it felt a little smoother.
