Can't provide a thorough review :( just based on a few days. Spilled coffee and waiting for it to thoroughly dry. I did pull it apart and cleaned it. I'm giving it another day. Thank God!!! My new FC660M arrived an hour later. It's doing an AWESOME job filling in.
BACK TO the board: the board itself is built like I expected it. The keys were quickly swapped out with carbon keys (Taio) Let's just say, what a perfect combo. Color and all. Typing was smooth but it's like that with the FC660M. Consistent build! I had clocked over 100 hours on it and no fatigue at all. The only thing I would change is the placement of the delete key. I'm obsessed with that placement. My muscle memory kept leading me to the NUM key. Otherwise, it's a great board. So much so, that I'm giving it another day to dry, if the numeric keys are dead, I'm replacing it with another one before they are all sold.
Absolutely love this board. I have a Poker II and a Ducky Shine 2 in addition to the Leopold, all blue MX switches, and the Leopold has to be my favorite without a doubt. The typing feel is fantastic, the build quality is excellent and I love the 1800 layout. I'm already thinking about picking up a 2nd one to use at home in place of my Poker II. If you're considering this board, pull the trigger. You won't regret it.
This keyboard layout is perfect for me. I've been looking for a layout like this for a long time. TKL is a good width but it leaves out the numpad (which I love) and a FULL is too wide for my ergonomic preference which can get in the way of my mouse.
The only thing I'd change is swap the 'delete' key and the 'num lock' key so that the 'delete' key is next to the backspace but the location isn't bad anyway.
Print screen is ('FN' 'i')
Nice and solid keyboard and everything works. I hope this layout becomes more popular so I'm happy to support it and advocate it in any way I can.
