  • I have purchased the pudding caps before buying these and expected good quality. I wanted to mix up the look with both. I found these caps of mostly poor quality. Some of the fonts don't shine through properly and make the font look broken up. There have been some sharp bits leftover on both sets as well from the moldings. Luckily I was able to put in the pudding caps in place of the caps with bad fonts and have a cool looking scheme. The typing feel of them are definitely an upgrade from the standard ABS caps that came with my Shine 5. I kept the Shine 5 year of the goat space bar on as the one that came with this set is just plain black. Would have liked some sort of font like the pudding caps have. Overall if I did not need the ducky calculator and volume keys I would go with a different set.

  • These are great keycaps. The product image is accurate (meaning they are a slightly lighter black, do not map secondary functions, and have the symbols displayed in the picture). They are thick, feel good to the touch, look sharp, and the fit is tight on MX switches. I have no concern whatsoever about the long term durability. If you want the keycaps in the product image, you won't be disappointed.

  • I just got these in the mail today so I cant speak to their long term durability. But In theory these should last much better than the laser etched keycaps that originally came on my Ducky Shine 2 TKL. I'm still unsure if I like the shift characters being to the right of the primary symbol rather than below the primary symbol, but so far I cant say I hate it either, Its just different. My only "complaints" are fairly minor. First, the black plastic is "less black" than the black paint of the original keycaps, these look like a really dark gray with a slight blue-ish-ness compared side-by-side but looking at them on their own they pass for "black" pretty easily. Second, I don't mind having symbols for tab, shift, enter, and backspace, but the down arrow for caps lock doesn't really make sense in my mind. Last, the F-row keys don't have any Fn symbols which isn't surprising because almost every keyboard has different Fn key bindings but it means you have to choose between using your original F-row keys and being able to see what the Fn binding for your F-row keys are, or using these doubleshot keys and having to remember what the Fn bindings are. I will also note that my spacebar is not warped like was mentioned in another review.

  • I really like this keycap set, the spacebar is a tiny bit warped, but I read online that it's normal. The other physical negative is some of the more complicated dyesubbed keys have stray pieces of plastic near the cherry MX stem. I can't really distinguish any rattling on my Realforce RGB keyboard, which they said happens with PBT. (I assume it has to do with the thick keys ducky uses.) However. I took a point off for two reasons; the caps lock, shift key, and enter key have annoying symbols. all the other PBT key sets have the very same annoyance. I want "CAPS", "SHIFT", and "ENTER" written in ink, the icons look dumb in my opinion. I'll update my review if they get soft and greasy or not !
