I've had this keyboard for two years now, it's my third keyboard and I'm pretty sure it's gonna stick. After buying a few keyboard with browns(Tada68, and a Vortex Vibe) I moved on past browns and went with Silent Reds on this board. I also realized that I needed a full size keyboard because not having the Fn1-12 was getting in the way quite a bit. Awesome keyboard, I like the sound and the color specifically on the Midnight was what drew me in, I didn't want a super flashy keyboard as I'd already tried flashy keyboards with tons of lights and bright key caps but these are subtle enough to not draw too much attention but look superb on closer inspection with the cotton candy colorway, I think it was executed perfectly. The blue body is not as bright as it appears in the pictures so if that's why you're buying it I would go with the Horizon version of this board. The cable routing on the back is really nice if you don't want a cable coming across your desk you can have it go out of either side which is a great touch, I do agree with the other reviewer who said that the cable is too short, it's just about a foot short of being perfect, but I made it work so no major complaints there. I really love it, and highly recommend it as Ducky products are truly gold, additionally if you like a deeper sound and heavier feel in general without changing your switches my brother has the Ducky Shine 7 and it's basically a metal version of the One 2 so it's pretty Rad but a little more expensive.
I really like this keyboard. It's just a great value in all aspects. I got this with Cherry MX Browns but I was afraid it would be too loud for my office, but it works really great. It's a little clacky, as expected, but it sounds very nice. Like a little applause every time I press a key. I did put some O rings on the space bar, delete, and enter key to help with the really loud clacky to prevent disturbing any of the people in the offices next to me, and it seems to have removed the sharpest sounds of the clack.
Anyways, a great keyboard if you're not really into the idea of lubing all your switches and doing a million other things to eek out the maximum performance and experience with your keyboard. It's also great if you know what type of switches you like and you don't need to experiment with a bunch of different ones.
Just got mine today sounds and feels way different than my k95, typing feels a lot more stable unlike the k95 if I typed to quickly or hard the caps some times would fly out, Keyboard weights a lil more not something that I care, I'm not carrying it anywhere. Just a lil upset the extra keys weren't purple like the showed in the Ducky website. The ones I got are something like a neon coral pink guess ill get some purple caps later but overall happy, now ill let time show its worth.
This just arrived today. I love it already. The clicks aren't obnoxious with the MX Brown switches, but it's there so you know that you are actually typing on it.
The membrane keyboards will no longer be purchased by me. I am now forever a mechanical keyboard user once again.
I haven't used one since the 90's with the IBM metal keyboard you could kill someone with. The feeling brings back memories, but it's more refined now because technology has advanced since then by a lot. Really love it. Would recommend for anyone who does any amount of coding.
I want to really like this keyboard but for some reason the space bar sound seems off and loud. I have two other coworkers that same similar keyboards and do not have the same issue as mine. Not sure if this one is defective or not.
This is an amazing keyboard! For me personally I've had multiple brands of mechanical keyboards and so far and I am convinced ducky one 2 keyboards are the best in the market. You're getting genuine German made cherry mx switches as well as premium quality, I bought mine with brown switches and obviously it feels amazing to type and to game. The color scheme of this keyboard is awesome and I like how dark the blue is on the keyboard, I love how it brings extra keycaps to make it more personalized. Interesting thought on the keyboard it has a dedicated calculator key which I though its pretty creative and fun to have. Does not have any RGB lighting but that really isn't the end of the world still is an amazing keyboard and shipping was fast.
Overall love this keyboard. Everything is solid and the keycaps especially are amazing. My only complaints are that the included cable is a little short and that the stabilizers could use some lube out of the box as they can rattle a bit. The navy top plate is darker than what the promotional pictures show which I personally like as it just adds a touch of flair compared to the vast amount of boring all black keyboards.
First of all, I wanted to thank the team at MK.com for being awesome to work with. Secondly, this keyboard is fantastic! I have the model with Cherry MX Silent Red Switches, and I could not be happier. Very quiet operation, solid build quality, and overall just a fantastic product. If you need a quiet mechanical keyboard for work, look no further!
