Good quality board for the price.
Very understated, which is perfect for my home office.
There is a reverb to the keyboard though if you are hard/fast typer like myself. Unsure how to go about dealing with this, but I'm sure lube or a dampener might help.
Very pleased overall.
Great keyboard. Its well built and has the zero frills I was hoping for. Keys feel great and I went with the silent reds which as my first experience with them has only made me love this keyboard all the more. Only a few thousand words typed on it so far but more than enough to know this is a smooth ride I'll keep enjoying.
This is a great keyboard with the silent red keys. Super sturdy build, zero body flex, no movement thanks to the grippy bottom, The key caps are comfortable and, as a whole I appreciate the subtle appearance. Nobody is going to start any conversations about your keyboard. It does not scream "look at me!" The silent red switches are pretty awesome, crazy quiet. Zero tactile feedback or click if that is what you are into. Typing is comfortable and pretty damn quiet.
The Cons:
- There is a mildly annoying reverberation inside the keyboard which gets louder if you type hard/fast which is a little strange given the design effort towards a quiet board. Rather unexpected given Leopold's lauded quality. Perhaps there is a simple fix for this, but it seems odd.
- I don't love the way the lock keys are underlit. it feels like a bit of a design afterthought. I would prefer the typical indicator lights.
- Upper right keyboard nameplate is a little dumb, it literally says "High-end Mechanical Keyboard"
For the price I highly recommend this especially for people who appreciate high build quality and low noise - there are not many mechanical keyboards that would cut it for a quiet office.
Amazingly good build quality. No body flex. Good weight. Feels very sturdy. The keycaps feel bomb proof and have a good texture to them. I am very happy with how quiet the silent red switches are; they are even more quiet than my old membrane keyboard.
The only thing I wish it had was labels on the media layer functions, you have to memorize the fn key commands. Also moving to USB C instead of USB mini would be nice.
