I ordered this keyboard with cherry mx clear switches and in all ways has been the best keyboard I ever used. Coming from owning all the mainstream mechanical keyboards that are found in big box stores this was quite the step up in every way. The build quality compared to the ones found in stores is second to none. This thing is built like an absolute tank, no flex whatsoever. The design is simple and nothing fancy (except for the overly bright numpad, scroll lock, and caps lock light) but other than that I love the simplicity of this keyboard. The one downside to this are the key caps as they are translucent so at night it can be hard to see if not a good typer. The cherry mx clears are my favorite keyswitches so far having owned nearly every key switch before I think this is the perfect switch for someone who wants more tactility than a brown and wants a little bit heavier of a switch, although I would like to try kailh box burnt orange and yellow soon. Overall, well worth the price.
Bought this keyboard to use at work. Chose it since it was the cheapest full-size keyboard with MX Clears and the backlit versions were all out of stock. Keys feel great, the extra force required takes a bit of getting used to but are definitely quieter than my MX Browns as I don't bottom out nearly as easily. The bump is also more pronounced/tactile vs Browns.
It doesn't show in the photos but the keyboard also comes with a set of a couple enter/backspace/arrow keys in a really nice red with solid white double shot legends. The keycap puller is a Hardcap wire puller as well instead of the ring style, easier to pull off the longer keycaps.
On the topic of keycaps, these come with double shot legends that are translucent and not solid white. This I assume are the same ones that come with the backlit versions of the same board. However, on this non-backlit version the legends just end up being hard to see. I assume this makes it so that you can add your own LED diodes later but I would have preferred if it was described clearly in the description, something MK.com should definitely add.
If the legends were the same bright solid white as the red alternate keycaps this would be a 5 star product for sure.
Very nice kb, types good. My only issue is Ducky put backlit keycaps on this thing, but there's no backlighting. As a result, the characters on the caps are very faint. Sometime down the road, I'll have to replace the entire keycap set. For this reason alone, I give 3/5 rating.
The included key puller tool is not the plastic one shown in the picture, but a wire one.
Key noise is minimal and wobble is not noticeable, unless I intentionally wiggle the keys.
I probably won't buy another Ducky, but then again, I shouldn't need another keyboard after this, given the high quality.
