So nice I ordered it twice
The look and feel of this keyboard are great, but pairing to my computer (hp/windows work laptop) has been a pain since day 1. The computer didn't recognize it out of the box, the manual says turn computer completely off, plug in, then turn back on. That worked for a little while (a couple weeks) but now my computer won't recognize it at all. Multiple shut-downs, multiple restarts, nothing. There are no drivers that I can find to force the connection which I found out coming to this page to look, so instead I sit here typing this review from my laptops keyboard while the Leopold keyboard sits useless in front of me.
Love it. Basic, bare bones board with fantastic build quality. Sound dampening is perfect, paired with the silver switches on mine. This is my first Leopold KB, but it absolutely will not be my last.
I picked up this board with Clears a couple months ago and feel I've finally had enough time to get a real feel for it. Truly amazing value for money if MX switches are your jam. Build quality is super solid and the keycaps are the nicest stock caps I've owned so far. For my needs and what I'm looking for in a keyboard, I don't have one bad thing to say about it.
Some may see this as a con, but personally, I really appreciate that the lock indicator lights are on the PCB under the keycaps rather than having indicator lights above the numpad. Visible branding on top of the board, but that doesn't bother me at all as Leopold have a fairly neutral looking logo. Also, no special characters or branding on the caps to worry about if you'd ever want to put them on a different board down the line.
It's nice to really feel like you've gotten what you paid for. I'll definitely be looking to pick up another Leopold board in the future if they're all as quality as this. Always room for one more, right?
