The keyboard arrived in two days even though I chose the free 4-7 day shipping option. It came in good condition, and the keyboard itself is very high quality. The keycaps feel great, same with the switches, and the keyboard has some nice weight to it despite it not having an aluminum case. The keycaps also look great. Probably the nicest keyboard I've ever used.
The Leopold FC750R is an incredibly solid, well-made board. The 1.5mm thick, double shot PBT keycaps are renowned for their quality and are on par with what you would get from with a set made by GMK. The keycaps are Step Sculpture 2 profile which is almost identical to Cherry profile and very comfortable to type on. The Cherry-style stabilizers are lubricated at the factory resulting in perfectly smooth, rattle-free stabilized keys.
Contrary to what is stated in the user manual, the FC750R is compatible with macOS. The multimedia function keys also all work correctly in macOS as well as Windows and Linux. These functions are not labeled on the keycaps or documented in the manual, but work as follows:
Fn Home: N-Key rollover (PS/2 only)
Fn End: 6-Key rollover (USB only)
Fn F1: repeat rate x1 (PS/2 only)
Fn F2: repeat rate x2 (PS/2 only)
Fn F3: repeat rate x3 (PS/2 only)
Fn F4: repeat rate x4 (PS/2 only)
Fn F6: multimedia previous
Fn F7: multimedia play/pause
Fn F8: multimedia next
Fn F9: multimedia stop
Fn F10: mute
Fn F11: volume down
Fn F12: volume up
Due to implementation of the USB controller, N-Key rollover is only supported when using the included PS/2 adapter. A direct USB connection will only support 6-Key rollover.
I've owned many keyboards from a variety of manufacturers over the years and this stands out as one of the best. Everything about it just exudes quality and thoughtful engineering. If you want an exceptional mechanical keyboard without frivolous gimmicks the Leopold FC750R will absolutely not disappoint.
I've had this board with brown switches for 3 months now and absolutely love it. The build quality is outstanding and it is just a joy to use (mostly for work - I'm a software engineer). My only complaint is the lock indicators being blue backlights. I really like the look, but in some lighting conditions it can be difficult to see.
Switched from g pro keyboard with romer-g switches to this with mx browns, i miss the short throw romer-g switches for gaming, but the stabilizers and keycaps on this board are 10x times better.
Absolutely fantastic keyboard for the price. I got it with browns and I couldn't be happier. This is my first mechanical and it was worth every penny.
