So far so good! I went into this purchase pretty much totally blind, with zero experience in mechanical keyboards as an entire category. BF uses mechanical though, so I knew I didn't want what he had (super clicky, SUPER loud, light and clattery key travel). Listened to Cherry MX switch noises on their website, and searched here for something that was full-size including number pad AND (non-negotiable!) the four keys above the number pad for Calc and volume controls, no blinky rainbow LED lighting, and which was actually in stock. Landed on this guy with Cherry MX Silent Red switches, and for the ~1 hour I've been using it, it's been great. Key travel is smooooooth, it's VERY quiet, and it feels hefty and sturdy. Appreciate the adjustable legs, and the fact that legs and front corners have grippy rubber feet.
In the "ehhhhh" category -- it's going to take some getting used to, as my fingers seem to want to really push the keys ALLLLL the way down until they hit the deck, which actually is not necessary and is rather tiring to the hands/wrists, but that's a Me problem. Also, if you're buying this for the color scheme, note that in person the deep blue of the number/letter keys is quite a bit dimmer/duller/darker in person -- rather than being a deep and fairly saturated cobalt, they're more like a soft dark greyed-out navy. All in all, I feel like this is a great entry to the category for a newbie who wants a SOLID keyboard that's also quiet and smooth. Well-packed, fast delivery, so I'll def be back when I start to get obsessively nitpicky about key/switch feel and want to try out other options!
