Overall good keyboard, I just got it but I'm kinda annoyed about how they didn't state that it isn't wireless.
Great keyboard for this price. I bought the full size ducky one 3 fuji early this year, and the typing experience is good but the chassis still has somehow plastic feeling. The solid purple aluminum chassis, typing experience and the lighting effect combined with the pudding keycaps is a step above the regular one 3 series . The only thing that I hope the manufacturer can improve is adding a software control for lighting effect.
This keyboard is my first mechanical keyboard and I love it! I got it with cherry speed silvers and I am really impressed with them! The main reason I got this keyboard was for the pudding keycaps, and they do not disappoint! The lighting is incredible and super bright! I absolutely love this keyboard and would recommend it to anyone who thinks about buying one!
Beautiful keyboard, love the RGB & jelly keycaps, however the software is extremely poor. I am unable to change any of the dip switches other than pushing all 4 up or down, and the rest do not work at all. The dip switches work, because I can move all at the same time and end up with different key places, but setting any other "keymap" with the dip switches is not possible. Upgraded firmware as well, no change.
Using the stock fn ijkl is poor for arrow keys, and much better with caps lock (fn) wasd. It's not ergonomic for me at all.
Wanted to like this keyboard, but after the software issues I won't be buying another ducky. My old KBparadise V60 is much better in terms of key customization and QC.
Oh my am I lucky to get my hands on one of these. Honestly, the build is amazing, some minor details are that on the back of each keycap there is like a little dot, nothing you will see unless you take the keycap of tho. People say it is quite heavy but honestly I have had heavier keyboards. The box design is overall great but all the logos make it look like the swedish hockey team. The RGB is really customizable and nice. I chose the cherry mx blues and they feel great (first time).
overall review:
Positives:
-Really comfy
-Really sturdy
-Doesn't break
-Amazing RGB
-Fits in any desk size
-Fast delivery (I am in sweden and it only took 3 days)
- USB C cable that is really easy to swap out for a custom recoiled cable
Downsides:
- Can't really have rubber grip keycaps as the RGB will get ruined
- Has a small dot on the back of each keycap
- Gets extremely dirty under the caps, needs constant cleaning with duster to get out dust and small dirt
- Quite pricy
- May not work for mac (other ducky's have had issues, not sure if this one does cos my OS is windows 10)
- Cable is a bit to long
Overall i do not recommend this keyboard to the people who have a smaller income as it is very expensive, but if you are ready to pay that extra pretty penny for this keeb go for it! The build quality is honestly amazing and cherry mx blues are perfect to annoy your friends with!
I have several problem with my backspace key. The backspace key rattles, scratches, and overall feels different from other keys. I took off the key cap and found lube oozing out from the stabs. I dabbed some of the lube away and the key felt less sticky, but it still rattles and occasionally feel scratchy. My Creator spacebar is a little deformed/uneven on the lower right hand side. Gateron Yellow switches feel really nice.
Really nice feeling keyboard (It's my first ducky) It is built like a truck and the pudding keycaps make everything pop. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
The board looks amazing and the build is very solid. What's not solid is the left stab on my spacebar. The bar isn't secured well and so it rattles like crazy even for a pre built board. It not only rattles loudly but makes pinging noises every time you touch the spacebar and lift up from bottoming out. It sounds like you're jiggling coins in a bag. I have no clue how mine passed QA. If the board was not rattly mess it would be an easy 5/5. Sucks, I guess.
First ducky keyboard and man this keyboard is slick and its just built super nice and sturdy. Best keyboard ive had to date.
Just got my very first ducky keyboard which is ducky x mk creator mecha mini, first impression is absolutely stunning! and my switch which is the kailh box white ,it is crisp and easy to type on. I don't regret my decision buying this
Coming from a Vortex Race 3, I did not think this keyboard would be not much of an upgrade. I was wrong about that! This keyboard has the most premium feel. Its nice alumni body and the pudding keycaps have a great quality feel. The board is much easier to type with than my older keyboard. The RGB is fantastic and I thought not having a delete key, page up/down, home or end would be a big problem. But so far so good!
i currently own and use a one 2 TKL and a mini and was looking at getting a mecha mini for awhile and saw this on the home page
decided to order one of these with browns and am glad that i did rgb looks great as always but the pudding keys make it that much better no need for another set of keycaps love the white & purple and the purple base looks amazing and sounds great has a nice weight & no flex compared to the normal mini
An all around gorgeous board. Weighty and substantial. Very well made and with the pudding keycaps, the RGB is brilliant. I would urge anyone that's even considering this board to pull the trigger ASAP. I'm guessing it won't last very long. Also, Mechanical Keyboards.com are always great to do business with. I received a warped spacebar during my last purchase and they dispatched a replacement immediately, no questions asked! They also threw in a free sticker to boot. 10/10
TL;DR: It looks, sounds and feels amazing, highly recommended.
I received this keyboard in Paris literally 3 days after I ordered it and it's AMAZING. I wanted to try the Kailh BOX white and it sounds and feels better than what I expected. I had to download and install the firmware on the keyboard from a Windows machine for the keyboard to work on my MacBook though. I mean this is not a big deal, because now that I've set up the RGB LEDs on my favorite color and the Fn button on Caps Lock on this piece of art, I'm the happiest man on earth.
I had the original ducky shine mini decided to upgrade finally and was not disappointed. Smooth Mx reds good stabs and build. Got to support Badseedtech so it's a win all around.
It's beautiful!
If you are using a Mac, you will have to download the latest firmware update through a PC (bootcamp) otherwise it will NOT work.
I just got this board with the Box White Switches So pretty and I love the aluminum casing and the weight it gives.
When I first saw this board I knew I had to get it. It not only looks great, but the build quality is very good as well. I got it in Kailh box whites and was a little worried I might not like it, but they are amazing switches. If you like RGB this board is for you, the pudding keycaps really make the RGB lights look amazing.
I would highly recommend this board if you were interested in it.
I caved in and took the swap offer because I wasn't sure if I ever was gonna get my hands on another Mecha Mini (I already have one but it has Silent Reds on it which I regret and it's v1).
The aluminum frame looks a lot better in person. The pictures here on the website don't really show how pleasantly purple the frame is. I wish however, that this came with a purple pudding keycap for the backward slash key on the right side. It's like I'm missing 1 purple key on the right side to give this nice purple bookend look on the keyboard.
Overall, I am super pleased with this Creator Mecha Mini. It's v2 (you can tell with the multiple LEDs under the spacebar). This keyboard is solid. Probably the best pre-lubed stabilizers you could get for a prebuilt keyboard. I just wanted to get my hands on a Mecha Mini sooner rather than later because each day I check the availability page on Mecha Minis here, the date keeps getting delayed. Glad I decided to make the swap for this Creator Mecha Mini. Well worth it!
It is stunning. Initially it was not at all compatible with Mac, however a firmware update (requires a windows machine) has fixed all issues. The build quality is great. A step up from the One2 mini, which I'm also a fan of.
BY FAR the best looking stock board I've seen, the Mecha combined with pudding caps makes the back lighting look much better than in the picture. This board would still look great but not nearly as good without the clear legends pudding The colors are richer than the pictures show and don't do it justice, getting the perfect lighting to show how good it looks is very hard in a picture. I've owned a few different ducky boards, all with excellent build quality but the aluminum frame makes Mecha boards feed much more durable than the normal plastic ones. I've only used it for a few hours but it feels amazing with silver switches. I hope ducky makes some full size Mecha boards soon, these are awesome.
If you're on the fence about buying it, I'd say don't even hesitate.
Perfection! The purple (and the Ducky brand) made it an easy purchase for me. This keyboard looks even better in person, and it's a joy to use! I thought the lack of fn functions on the key would make it tough to use, but it hasn't been a problem for me. It's super solid for its size, and incredibly stable. I've always been impressed with Ducky's products, and this collab with MK is no exception. Amazing keyboard!!
Got this as a compensation for the long time I had to wait for the Mecha Mini, and all I can say is wow. The keyboard is beautiful, feels great, and has amazing build quality. Shoutout to MechanicalKeyboards for taking care of their customers. Their service is unrivaled.
Received this through the Mecha swap event and loving it. I was hesitant to give up the fn layer on the original mecha mini for the pudding caps but glad I took the plunge! Between the pudding caps and "exposed" switches (no casing surrounding perimeter of board), the rgb on this thing is a sight to behold! And can't forget that this thing feels like a tank due to the aluminum case. The purple case seems slightly lighter in person than the pictures depict and overall like the look even better as they match the purple keys closer.
Initial impressions of this board are nothing but good.
