i'm over 7 years deep on this keyboard (july of '17 purchase, mx blues) and just wanna say this board has served me very well over that time. i swap keycaps fairly often so i can't comment on the wear of the originals, but they will gain a more glossy look over about a year on the more used keys. every switch has held up great and i haven't had a single LED fail on me. the hardware-everything style of light settings and macros is perfect and hasn't ever failed me. the only complaint i can think of is the rubber feet on the legs fell off after about a year or so of use, but was an easy fix.
something i've noticed though is after a long time, small bits of dust and debris will get inside the wells of the switches where the LEDs sit, and will block their flow of light resulting in a dimmer glow in certain keys. today was the first time i took apart the board shell entirely to clean everything thoroughly and was able to fish out the dust in the LED wells with a thin wire and they looked a lot brighter afterward. so just some advice for anyone thinking they might have an LED dying like i did, it may just be some dust in the way of it.
I don't believe "T" actually read the manual with this keyboard. I have bought two Ducky One keyboards, MX Brown and MX Red. Every single key lights up brilliantly on both.
This keyboard is sturdy. It's heavy and solid. There's three levels of incline (flat 2) to choose from so that you can get the perfect fit for your hands. The USB cable is detachable/replaceable. IF someone breaks into your computer room, you can probably use this keyboard as a weapon.
You don't have to run any special software on your PC for this keyboards advanced functions. Windows 10 won't constantly re-download installer bloatware when it detects the keyboard (which is what happens with my old Razor mechanical keyboard.)
TL;DR: Ducky is probably the best Mechanical Keyboard on the market right now. There is literally no draw backs to their products.
I bought a returned model of this keyboard and love it! Yes, sometimes the lights don't properly shine through certain keys, but I didn't buy this keyboard just to stare at the lights. It's replaced my Razer completely and I love the weight, build, and feel of the keyboard! It's my first Ducky, too, and now I'm sold on the brand.
Great keyboard. Probably one of my favorite TKL keyboard. Feels great nice RGB control without software and phenomenal built quality. The only downside is that it does not have windows lock key (what is the dip switch even for? smh) Hope they release new firmware that can enable windows lock
Absolutely fantastic! I love the clickiness, though it is too loud for conference calls so I have had to order dampeners for the keys. That of course led me to get a custom set of key caps, but that is neither here nor there. The responsiveness is fantastic. The built in controls are confusing at first, but you get the hang of them. I switch between a pc and a mac so having the settings saved to the keyboard was preferable for me. I've tried the macro functionality and it is interesting. Handy for illustrator and photoshop. The keyboard feels solid, heavy. I'm very pleased with it and have no regrets.
Just received this keyboard the other day and it is awesome. I had a razer chroma and this keyboard blows it out of the water. Much more enjoyable to type/play games on.
Fantastic switches, love that extra click you get from cherry mx blue switches. Great tactile feel, nice smooth keycaps and some cool LEDs to boot. All around good keyboard!
Alright to begin with this is my first ducky keyboard and I absolutely love the feel it has to it and the responsiveness and this is coming from someone who just had a corsair k70 cherry mx blues. There's nothing really I could say that is bad about this keyboard besides that like half the keys already look faded which is disappointing but not that big of a deal and wish it had software so i could just choose the color I want instead of some fn. Overall this is a solid keyboard and with a few fixes and additions to certain things and its perfect.
Very nice, but I'm not a fan of the spacebar design. It's replaceable, so not much of an issue!
The Ducky One TKL RGB is a keyboard that a lot of enthusiasts have been expecting out of Ducky for quite some time. The bezel on this TKL keyboard is thin and streamlined, but still as solid as a tank. The ABS plastic frame is attractive. The new ABS doubleshot keycaps from Ducky are nice and have a great feel to them, but I noticed that some of the characters offer odd blocking of the LED lighting, which isn't a big deal. The RGB lighting modes all look great, but I wish that Ducky would offer a software package for lighting.
I bought this keyboard, and most of the keycaps have black rectangles on the underside. This prevents the LED light from shining through the legends fully, so many of the legends will only be partially lit. It looks nothing like the pictures above.
Other than that, it does what it's supposed to.
Beautiful keyboard. Works great. Paired with a braided USB cable. Cherry MX Brown switches feel very fresh. Far more tactile than Gateron Browns. MK shipping was faster than expected and arrived in good condition. Small profile. Ducky Macro keys are a little confusing to program for, just read the user guide carefully. Wish this keyboard had better switch mounting / raised key design like Noppo Lolita, Corsair keyboards or some Varmilo keyboards. Great weight.
I got my keyboard just the other day. Out of the box it works beautifully. Up until this i've never had Brown switches, and they are great! Overall the keyboard is amazing, nice and small, very responsive and it arrived in Pristine condition! Great for anyone looking for a nice TKL keyboard!
I was debating to get this or the Shine 5 coming from a Logitech G710 (Blues) but decided to go with this. It's really great and I love the size. No complaints here and the caps lock and all other indicators correspond to the colors you pick, which is great.
