This is my 3rd Ducky and my second keyboard with Cherry MX silent red switches, so I'm familiar with both the keyboard and the switch. I very much want to like this keyboard - it looks fantastic and the keys caps feel great - but the problem is the ringing. It's omnipresent and distracting. As a test, I loaned the keyboard to a friend who normally uses a chicklet keyboard (and simply said "try this"), and the first comment they made after using it for a couple days was about how loud the ringing is.
I don't know if there's anything to be done about the ring. It's there, all the time, as if the keyboard is resonant with the keys after key presses. It's a shame, because the keyboard is otherwise perfect.
I bought pre-ordered this keyboard on April 15th, and got they keyboard on May 5th. My experience, so far, with this keyboard has been excellent. This keyboard has the set of keycaps as shown in the images, along with some extra blue keycaps (like the enter key) that you can put on the keyboard to give it more color. The product also gives you a cable to plug your keyboard into your computer and a nice keycap puller, along with whatever free bonus you got. I love how small the keyboard is compared to my old one, giving me much more room on my desk. I do have a a single complaint for this keyboard, there are no lights of any kind besides the 3 lights in the top right corner. This really upsets me as I'd been looking forward to having some lights to go with the keyboard, but I realize I can just add some strip lights underneath. Mechanicalkeyboard.com is a very legit vendor. Their customer service (especially when you call the number they provide) is very questionable, but they got me my keyboard in stellar condition. This keyboard was my first mechanical keyboard and I've gotta say, it's amazing. I definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for a first mechanical keyboard, or if you just want a TKL. I would recommend getting the backlit version though.
This is very nice keyboard. I got this keyboard with the Cherry MX Blacks switches, and so far it's a very good keyboard. The stabilizers of the keys are very nice and there is little wobble. The keycaps feel really nice, and mine doesn't have a little transparent hole for the caps-lock key, as an earlier review mentioned. The board comes with a decent selection of keys, including different types of keys for the enter key, backspace key, WASD keys, and ESC key. My only complaint about this keyboard is that the position of the indicator lights for Caps lock, scroll lock, etc. are hard to see as they are blocked by the nine keys on the top right. I would rather have had them be located above the arrow keys.
Very nice! I got the cherry mx silver switches, my new favorite cherry switch. I was using reds before. I didn't even realize how programmable it is when I bought it. I've remapped caps lock and left alt for more convenient use in games and no accidental alt tabbing when I'm checking the score.
I have to say, this keyboard (for me, at least) is a 5/5 experience. The feel of both the build quality of the board and the switches and keycaps are unlike any board I've used before. All of my previous keyboards (of which most have been mechanical) felt very cheap, almost plastic-y. MK is a great vendor to buy from, because you know what you're getting. And I knew I wanted to try a Ducky keyboard from the time I first heard of their legendary performance. Neither service disappointed me. Kudos to Ducky for producing such a great board and thank you MK.com. They are by far the best Mechanical Keyboard Online site.
I absolutely love it. I got cherry mx brown switches and it feels amazing to type/game on. The colors are exactly what I wanted, and I couldn't be happier. Great keyboard.
Pros: Solid build, extremely pleasant to type on.
Cons: Not as pictured. In real life, the accent keys are nearly the same color as the other ones, and don't look distinct like they do in the pictures. I'm pretty disappointed by that after waiting more than three weeks.
Got this board with mx reds. The build is extremely solid. The texturing on the keys and depressing the switches both have a very satisfying feel. The keyboard has been excellent for both gaming and typing.
Coming from a Shine 6 wanting a TKL, I decided to buy this board. Not a fan of Ducky's two-tone coloring style they're going with on their Shine 7 models and the Ducky One 2, but this dark gray & black seemed alright. With Leopold / Varmilo basically always OOS, and Filco coming with awful ABS keycaps, I decided to give Ducky's TKL One 2 series a shot.
This is a solid keyboard. Was worried the quality wouldn't be that great since this isn't the Shine series, but it actually doesn't creak or bend or anything. I'd actually say it feels more solid than my Shine 6 did. Feels incredibly sturdy. My only complaint would be the keycaps. As you can see from the picture, the caps lock has this unnecessary dot on it. The dot on the caps lock is an indication Ducky is using their old keycaps for this keyboard. It is meant for the Shine series to indicate that the caps lock button is pressed, however, since there are no LED's on this keyboard, it is pointless. I wish Ducky would've used their newer PBT caps on this board as they seem to be much better.
However, I like the keyboard itself so much that it doesn't really bother me. If I could somehow get my hands on a "dot-free" caps-lock key in this dark gray color I'd give the board a 5/5. For $100, you can't really go wrong here. I also can't hear any pinging coming from this board, which is a major plus.
If Ducky were to make a TKL Shine series, it would be my dream keyboard. For now, however, this One 2 Skyline is a sleek, professional looking TKL board that doesn't disappoint.
