Got this for a work driver, have to say I am pretty surprised by the quality of the switches. Seems very durable and sturdy. Shipped with an extra keycap and a rather cute squirrel shaped keycap puller.
I didn't expect too much when it comes to effects at this price point. The only lighting effect is the breathing one, which is nice. The only down side is that the keyboard does not save my lighting preferences when I undock my laptop or turn it off, but all in all, a pretty good keyboard for work usage. Will update if something happens as I've only played with it for a few days.
The KBT Brown switches have no better a tactile bump than Cherry Browns, and additionally the weaker springs make it difficult to type quickly with accuracy. The board itself is a solid plate-based build; the base has holes for each switch, rather than the traditional lip-and-valley model. The cable is permanently attached inside, but routable out any of three notches. The keycaps feel OK, and the stems take standard Cherry keycaps.
Bottom line: I would try another KBT board but not with KBT switches.
