They keyboard itself is great. I love the way it looks, feels and it types like a dream.
Only complaint I have is that it came with the extra space bar cracked on the backside and the space bar squeeks. Not too big of a deal tho I just ordered some plastic safe grease to fix the space squeek and I'll be all good. If it weren't for those two issues I would have easily given this board a 5/5 for sure. Very nice keyboard!
I pre-ordered this model a week before they arrived. MechanicalKeyboards.com sent it to me as soon as they received it in, and I actually received my board on Friday 8/9 (2 days after they received it). It was an awesome job on the shipping as I was able to get my board and then use it and test it all weekend during the Dota2 International tournament.
Onto the board itself, I won't get into ALL of the features, just the most important ones to me.
The backlighting modes are just great to work with. I play games in the dark some of the time, so having the backlighting was important to me, and the different lighting effects are cool. i found that I will most likely only be using one or two of the modes (the pre-set lighting for games like Dota2, Team Fortress 2, etc) and the reactive fade mode (after you hit a key there is a small delay and then the light turns off). This board was mostly meant for my gaming rig and I'm happy I chose it. The color-changing RGB spacebar is a bonus and it adds a cool effect to the blue LED's. I like the Red color in the spacebar with the blue back lighting, it just looks really cool and matches my color scheme for my gaming rig.
I bought a sampler pack of the different key switches from WASDkeyboards.com and it helped me make up my mind that the Cherry MX Brown switches were the right ones for me. It feels very different than typing on the normal membrane keyboards I'm used to, so I made quite a few mistakes... however I know with a little practice I will be even faster typing on it. The brown switches were lighter in actuation force than I thought they would be, I didn't realize I bottom out the keys so much.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this keyboard after the first few days and I would highly recommend this model to anyone out there who is looking for a quality mechanical keyboard. (Especially for gaming and typing... feels like typing on air... it's great!)
