best keyboard i ever had!!
Well-designed keyboard, everything from the casing to the keycaps. You're paying a high premium for this board, and I'm glad that it delivers. Thankfully, the silicone pads do make a difference but also do not detract from the typing experience. I can't fully describe how nice the Iris v2 switches feel. They are, indeed, similar in feel and tactile responsiveness to Holy Pandas, although I'm not ready to say which one feels better. But in terms of Iris v2, this is one of the few switches that creates such a satisfying bump, and certainly a far more pleasant sound than other tactile switches like Cherry MX Brown or Gateron Brown. Although not as quiet as Varmilo would hype it up to be, you're also not getting that loud clickiness you may find with Cherry MX Blue or even Ivy v2 sometimes.
Some caveats? The backlight white LEDs are a nice addition, but I wish they were brighter. Also, and perhaps this is my particular order, but the CapsLock key is a little stiff when pressed on the side - meaning, it's not a sticky key, but I noticed that when pressing down from the very edge of CapsLock, it requires what seems to be slightly more actuation force. Whether this is because of the switch itself or the keycap, I just want to point this out for those purchasing an otherwise near-perfect keyboard.
I purchased this keyboard with the Ivy V2 switches. The clickiness is crisp and sharp, and the switches are a little bit lighter than you might expect, (then again, I'm coming from mx blacks) and they are very responsive. The keyboard itself is very well built and HEAVY. The keycaps also live up to this standard of construction, and are of very high quality. Easily the best keyboard I've owned.
