I'm new to Mechanical Keyboards. I was gifted a KBDCraft Adam, and I liked it, but the light linear switches were TOO sensitive! After a little research, I chose Cherry MX2A Browns, since they are the "default" tactile switch. It seemed like a good place to start.
Now that I have installed them, I think they ARE a good default/intro. They really aren't as "tactile" as I was hoping, but the slightly higher force makes my Adam much more usable!
I probably should have ordered "Ergo Clear" switches, for a "more tactile" feel, and also because the Browns I got have opaque bodies, so the RGB LED lighting doesn't show through.
That's Ok, I chalk it up to my learning curve! I am enjoying the new switches, and I will get something else when I'm ready.
MechanicalKeyboards.com gave great, quick service! I received my order very quickly! Their site is easy to navigate, and their prices are good. I would like to see more introductory or tutorial info on their site to help newbies like me, though there are plenty of reviews online.
I'm a satisfied customer, I'll be back!
