Ducky One 3 Classic Hotswap RGB Mechanical Keyboard w/ Quack Mechanics

The spring ping on this thing is ridiculous. I can strum it like a banjo.

I decided to get this keyboard based on a bunch of recommendations from friends and other reviews. I got this with the blue switches, and I love it! It's way heavier than my old keyboards (which were good, but not this nice). The lighting control was- once I read the actual manual- easy to set up (Ducky has the manuals on their website). One thing I didn't remember seeing mentioned is that the keyboard has channels underneath it, so the USB cable can go straight out the back OR either side of the board.

The blue switches are often not as loud 'in real life' as you hear in videos, and I recommend putting your grubby little fingers on them irl if possible. They're perfect for me- I mostly type, but I do a bunch of gaming on the side.

My literal only problem with this keyboard is that the control lights (the caps/number/scroll lock) LEDs are SUPER BRIGHT. So I just put some skinny washi tape on top and it's perfect. The spacebar is also a little loud but I KNOW that's my own typing ability and not the board. And because it's all swappable, I can fix that by just getting a new switch for that. :)

The shopping part was very easy and the board got here way faster than I anticipated, which was great. I would definitely suggest this as someone's 'starter' board.

I've had this keyboard for a year and a half and it hasn't stopped double-typing on like half the keys but like to the point where I can press 'r' once and get 'rrrrrrr'. It's awful for just typing regular documents and stuff. It's prolly out of warranty now anyway so whatever. Pretty bad first experience with ducky especially since my last keyboard lasted about 10 years without a single key failing.

Ducky made a keyboard so good that I couldn't stop raving about it. And then they made this one, the One 3. On the surface it's very similar to the stellar One 2, but the keyboard has a sysstemic problem with keys repeating themselves. See this review? There's a double space and a double 'S', neither of which were done by me. This keyboard has a brain of its own. So if you like keyboards that have this problem, by all means buy one. Otherwise stay away. It makes for good scrap metal.
