I've been a MK enthusiast for over a decade, but stepped away from the hobby the last several years. After recently reentering the hobby, I picked up the Evo80 and WOW. I am completely blown away by how feature-rich the Evo80 keyboard is and how well-tuned it is out of the box. It reminds me of two custom TKLs I built from scratch and modified. I cannot recommend this keyboard enough! And as always, kudos to the MK team for always being super helpful.

Really, just wow. I could go on, but wow. Wow wow wow, wow! The only thing I didn’t like was the key caps. They were not wow. So I put on these MTNU SUSU’s then named it “The Kardashian”.
Right out of the box this keyboard is solid. The quick detach top plate and magnetic PCB connector are amazing and make customizing so much easier. Paired with Kailh Midnight Pros, this keyboard is a perfect quiet tactile board for the office. With the bottom foam removed, there is a good amount of flex and is a very comfortable typing experience for a long day of work. I have only used wired, so no comment on wireless or Bluetooth connectivity.
I did have a few issues though. First, the south facing RGB were not working out of the box and I had to reflash the stock firmware, which fixed the problem. Second, when using Akko Creamy Purple Pros, I was getting double hits on the spacebar. This is not an issue with the stock Neo Oat or Kailh Midnight Pro switches. So it looks like it is somewhat sensitive to what switch you use so YMMV.
And just a final comment. I knew this was a prebuilt when I bought this and I would be changing switches and keycaps, but I do wish this was offered as a bare ones kit only.
