Topre Realforce R3S Keyboard

The 30g domes give a light and uniform keyfeel. My fingers don't sore as much after a day at work. The keys are too light for me to rest my fingers on when not typing. A thick palm rest solved the issue.

Key remapping feature is also very solid with good enough software. Besides the native 8 shortcut slots, the keyboard can also output fn 13-24, which can then be remapped in the operating system (windows and linux). With a fully customizable Fn layer, I can reach all my macros with one hand. I can also use the one of the four extra keys as a 2nd function key and pack 6 macros there. If you don't use the numpad, you can turn it into a macro pad by mapping numpad 0 as a fn key.

I should mention that if you live in a hot, humid climate, sweat sticks onto the keycaps like crazy. On my r2 pfu this isn't as noticeable. The keycaps, although still pbt, feels very different than the original. Can't complain given the price though.

Amazing TOPRE switches, not for everybody, but if you like them, this is a keyboard to consider.
Love the sound and experience on typing on them, only thing i wish it had, the extra button on the top right don't do anything by default, most keyboards do calculator, not a big deal.

Package arrived on time and in good condition, keyboard is great and feels high quality, works perfectly without the software if you don’t think you need the features the software gives you.

I have a couple of other Topre keyboards, and like them, but not so much LOVE them. They are both 45g actuation force boards, and I find them a bit stiff for my liking. So, I wanted to see how a 30g Topre board is.

I was not disappointed! I love it, in fact. It's something like a Cherry MX Red switch, but I like it better than those. The only issue I have is getting used to the very light touch it takes to type on this board, it is quite touchy! It's not for everyone. If you like a quiet, light touch keyboard, this might be worth a try. The build quality is second to none, love that it is Made in Japan! And it has a nice price tag for a true Topre keyboard!
