Ducky Black Seamless Backlit 108 Key OEM Profile Double Shot PBT Keycap Set

These keycaps have a normal pleasant looking font, unlike a whole bunch of the backlit caps on the market use a hideous "stencil" looking font. The PBT feels good, sounds good, looks good. My only complaint is that some of the white lettering doesn't "shine through" as brightly as their neighbors. But that is just the nature of double-shot translucent PBT. I still like these enough to buy several more sets.

Long story; I bought my first Ducky keyboard called Ducky One over seven years ago. I loved it, it was basic black with only blue LEDs and it provided me with seven years of solid performance. Unfortunately back in January of 2024 I spilled a drink on it and it totally destroyed my Ducky One.

Wanting to replace my original Ducky One that looks exactly the same wasn't easy. After searching around, I did find a black Ducky One 3 that was close, but the bottom of it was white. So I discovered there was a Mechanical Keyboards Tech Center near me (Chandler AZ) and gave them a call. They had most of the parts to recreate my Ducky One. A completely black base, Cherry Blue switches but the only thing they didn't have was a certain type of keycap I was looking for.

It was suggested to me to order the Ducky Black Seamless Backlit 108 Key OEM Profile Double Shot PBT Keycap Set online and when the order arrived to go ahead and bring it in and they would be happy to completely put my new keyboard together!

Due to the time it takes for shipments to arrive to Mechanical Keyboards, it took three months for the keycaps to arrive. The wait was worth it and I really love the look and feel of the keycaps!

Most of all, I'm really happy to have the Ducky One (3) in possession and under my fingers! It's so much easier to type and I like the tactful feedback I get while typing.

The only issue I have is not with the keycaps, it's the base that the switches and keycaps go onto. the 6^ key is positioned slightly lower than the rest of the keys on the keyboard. Not in height but lower in position with the rest of the keys in the row.

Here's a very exaggerated example. Pretend the slashes are the keys on a keyboard. Imagine looking directly straight down from above at one of the rows of keys on the keyboard. All of the keys are in alignment except one...the 6^ key.

Of course that's a huge exaggeration visually but in real life it's off by probably a couple millimeters or so. The rest of the keys on the keyboard line up perfectly.

On the other hand, a very nice thing about my new Ducky One 3 is even though it's capable of producing any color I want, I have it set to blue to mimic the look I was used to with my original Ducky One!
