Leopold FC980MBT Grey/Blue Bluetooth PD Double Shot PBT Mechanical Keyboard

This is my first Leopold keyboard, having been a Topre (Realforce/HHKB) user for years - wanted to try something different. My FC980MBT has Cherry Silent Red switches, which I was a bit apprehensive about ordering, as I feared they may not be as satisfying as the Topre switches I'd been accustomed to, but to my surprise, they are very satisfying to type on, and very quiet - just as quiet as my HHKB Hybrid Type-S. The keycaps are of very high quality, and have a distinctive 'gritty' textured surface - very nice. This keyboard does not have a gasket mount, RGB lighting, or a built in battery - but for me these are all bonuses. The '98%' compact layout does take some adjustment as key placement is different than my muscle memory from a full size is used to - but with use it becomes normal. For the ~$140 list price of this board, you're getting a very high quality instrument, that should last a very long time, and compared to some prices for other boards, it's a great value.
