MK LowKey70 Black Aluminum 75% Hotswap Bluetooth RGB Low Profile Mac Mechanical Keyboard

I got this as a long term Mac user, stoked to see a Mac first mech low profile design including the bottom row. But it has felt off from day one. I have been trying to get used to this keyboard for weeks now. I kept making typos, particularly when transitioning to and from my MacBook. Then I realised the key offset is completely different and really strange. The Q row lines up directly above the Z row, and A row lines up directly with the number row. Really strange offset that makes for awkward handling and confusion when switching to normal offset keyboards. Bummer. I can only recommend this keyboard if it’s for show because it looks good and has quality materials. If you are considering this to move between it and a MacBook keyboard for productivity and touch typing I recommend steering clear. There are other little things that hinder speed typing too like the timing based multi function right shift key that when writing at speed produces a forward slash unless you wait a certain time, but it’s the offset that has me putting it in a draw for safe keeping.

Got one of these with kailh choc brown switches, and I'm not very impressed. The build quality is solid, and the switches are nice to type on, but it has a few awkward problems. The layout feels very cramped and awkward, I keep ending up misaligned from where I want to be typing. Also, one of the rubber feet is taller than the others, so it wobbles back and forth when I type on it. When you plug in the USB cable, you still have to turn on the keyboard with a key combination, which is very bizarre. It has some neat pre-programmed RGB lighting themes, but you have to just manually go through them to find one, and they're broken up into categories in a very unintuitive way. But, part of this may be the fact that I just prefer full-size keyboards. I'll get some use out of it, but it's not going to replace my regular board.
