About

Description
  • Dual APC (Actuation Point Changer) to change switch actuation point to one of 30 levels between: 0.1mm and 3.0mm
  • Double Shot ABS keycaps
  • Full N-key rollover
  • Genuine silent Topre capacitive switches
  • Installed Topre to MX adapters allow max compatability with keycap sets
  • Attached cord
  • Kill switch function allows for better control over counter strafe technique
  • Steel frame with floating key design
Using Realforce software, users can access the following settings and save their changes to the on-board memory:

- APC (Actuation Point Changer) setting: Adjust the actuation point depth of each key which can be set to 30 levels of sensitivity using 0.1mm increments ranging from 0.1mm to 3.0mm.
- Dynamic mode function: Allows you to set the key switches ON to OFF and OFF to ON operating points in increments of 0.1mm.
- Kill switch function: This function disables the simultaneous input of the A and D keys used to move the game character left and right, and only enables the input of the key pushed last. It gives the player better control over a technique called "counter strafe" that is mainly used in FPS games to get more accurate shots.
- Software-specific additional features, including: Macros that help simplify multiple commands to the push of a button, custom illumination, key mapping function to customize key layout, key map switching between two layouts, heat map visualization, firmware updates, onboard memory function, and more.

Love this thing!

I got a Topre RS3 TKL for work on a whim and now I’m in love with Topre. It is soft and quiet. Now I got this for personal use. It feels even better than the RS3? Light and quiet, also MX stems!

The perfect keyboard?

I just received my GX1 today. I got the 30g silent version. It's interesting in that the switches don't have quite the same tactile pop at what should be the same switches in the R3S - they feel a bit more linear - but they feel really nice regardless. I'm not a huge RGB fan, but this keyboard is worth it even if you never use the RGB. That said, first thing I did on getting it was to replace the keycaps with something high-contrast that I could see well without the LEDs shining. (Unlike most other Realforce boards, this one mates its glorious Topre switches with MX key stems. This was why I decided I couldn't live with the R3S I'd tried and returned - the keycaps felt shoddy and I couldn't find a source of Topre keycaps I actually liked. The GX1 having MX-style keystems completely obviates that problem. Note that the stock keycaps felt great, so my change was solely for visual appeal.)

If I had to describe how it feels, I'd say "Niz Plum 35g, but quieter and more solid and competent". It's a dream to type on it. Being a Linux user, I don't have the Realforce configuration software available, but the keyboard controls let you control a bunch of the RGB effects, and more importantly, you can control the adjustable actuation point of the EC switches. It's a bit of a puzzle figuring out which colour means which as they say they handle 30 different points or somesuch, but I found some diagrams online that gave me good baselines to shoot for for a comfortable actuation point. (I tend to like mid to deep as I'm a bottom-out typist.) If you have a supported OS, you can set the actuation point with amazing granularity, key by key.

The board's interesting in that it doesn't come with a top case. The switches are mounted on a nice metal plate, and that is effectively the upper half of the keyboard, with plastic underneat. It looks nice and feels solid. I've been looking for the perfect keyboard for quite a while now, and I think I may have finally found it.

Love love!

I bought it as a gift for my boyfriend and he said it was really nice and soft and didn't put any strain on his wrists.
