Smooth

Very smooth keys, nice and quiet. Just what I wanted.

Realforce R2 Black Review

Absolutely love the 55g force on these. I also bought a Leopold with 45g force and I feel that those are weighted too low to really get the tactility out of these switches. The Realforce is perfect for data entry and working, as the switches aren't too loud while still giving a pleasant audible feedback. 5/5 would buy again.

Realforce R2 Black Review

Ah, Topre. If you're reading this, you have not been satisfied with the normie enthusiasm for Cherry switches. You've ceased to be enthralled by Kailh switches, even though they have their place. . .You've done research about other switches and you've experienced many switches. You even went and bought a switch tester (naughty). You most likely own a minimum of 3 keyboards, have delved into lubing, band-aid mods, sound dampeners, O-rings, and the best Krytox mixture for the type of linear-tactile-clicky switch you own AS WELL AS the type of dialectic grease for your stabs. . . . and still your fire for the endgame keyboard keeps burning. All that has brought you here. In your weariness, you turn to the oasis of Topre. This keyboard is not for those just getting into the hobby, as those plebs will state (wrongly) 'this feels just like a rubber dome keyboard.' Your novice is showing --- go back to the Ducky 60% crowd, pleb. For those new to the hobby, you will assume (wrongly) that this Japanese craftsmanship simply feels like your Dell keyboard that you bought at Best Buy for $5. Which couldn't be farther from the truth. You don't truly understand all that goes into a switch and you can't delineate between the subtle differences of a switch. This keyboard has an addictive quality. Upon first type, you think, 'that's it?' Then, you type some more. then more. and soon you find any reason to type a treatise, review, or blog post. This keyboard resembles an old leather baseball glove -- the more you use it, the more it 'breaks in' and becomes more and more comfortable; it grows on you, and then the eureka slowly emerges in your head about the hype that surrounds this type of switch. I prefer the 55g as my fingers quickly get used to, and then appreciate, the heaviness. 45g is too light for Topre for me (tried the Leopold FC660C). You can't go wrong with this keyboard as everything about the experience, material, and feel of the keypress is utter perfection and well thought out. The 'thock' sound never gets old and doesn't resemble anything I've typed on (currently have 5 keebs). Lubing this will truly make it endgame and all I'll ever need. Topre now for life.
