Very enjoyable typing experience

I really enjoy my new R3 Real Force keyboard. It is very nice with a great feeling typing. I like the black keyboard more than the white version. The white version is too bright white for me. This is personal preference though. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to type in comfort with a cool quiiet sound.

I've had Filco keyboards for over a decade and I wanted to give these new hybrid switches a try. I had to get used to the light feel but the typing is accurate with less fargiue4compared to traditional mechanical switches.

The build quality and software are top notch. The technology reminds me of Grand Seiko watches' Spring Drive movement if I may use the analogy. It's a hybrid movement that thinks outside the box.

Plus, Mechanical Keyboards are awesome. There was a small error on their site when I ordered the keyboard but they ended up shipping the limited edition 🥢 the next business day. Great keyboard and awesome company. Highly recommend.

If you want an accurate reflection of how light these 30g Realforce R3 switches are, a MacBook's keyboard switches are heavier than these. That doesn't mean that you can't comfortably rest your fingers on its home row, but it requires that you slightly lighten up your finger weight. Thankfully, I got comfortable to it within the first day.

In comparison to a HHKB Type S, the 30g switches are still tactile but nowhere close to the 45g switches from the HHKB. They're also much softer and "mushy" when bottoming out, almost like you're squishing soft rubber compared to the hammer-like 45g switches that resonate the plastic from the HHKB.
