Like iced butter on a warm summer day
Very nice build, soft and quiet. Good typing feeling. The only complaint is that the right 'shift' key is too small, which I'll need to take some time to get use to it. Otherwise, it's a great keyboard that I could use for many years.
What else can I say about this board? It's truly the best experience I've had with a stock board by far. Yes, the layout is weird and can rub others the wrong way, but overall, it's fantastic. Lubed stabs from the factory which prevents the "normal" stab rattle Topre is known for with its older boards. This board stays true to its roots with the OEM Topre sliders (not MX compatible) and improves it. The integrated plastic plate is also a new change that is executed perfectly. It gives this board a nice sound profile when using it (again, no rattle). Honestly this is probably top 5 favorite Topre boards I've ever owned. I definitely recommend it to others who don't want MX or are ok with having Topre's proprietary stems. The bluetooth is a nice addition and in such a portable form factor it's great (not a giant chungus like R3BT). The only thing that would be great is easier access to the other colored keycap sets that RF released in Japan, if we could get those in the US in ANSI layout, I know RF would have far higher sales. Also, there needs to be a beige option!!!!! Anyways, definitely recommend this board, it's great. But, as with anything in life, this is all my personal preference and opinion. Look for my teardown on KeebTalk if you are interested in the internals and more nitty gritty details.
