TTC Frozen Silent V2 39g Linear Plate Mount Switch

These are the quietest switches I've ever used. The best direct comparison is to Niz 35g EC switches, which were unparalleled in offering a cloudlike, comfortable typing experience until I tried these TTC switches. Now that I've tried the TTC Frozen v2, I'd really struggle to say whether I like Niz or TTC better. This is high praise.

It's amazing we have this stuff available. We're in the golden age of keyboards.

TTC Frozen Silent V2 39g Linear Plate Mount Switch

These switches are quite quiet out of the box, though I did notice that a few were a bit scratchy with the factory lube. They probably would be fine for most folks, but I wanted this build to be as close to perfect as possible. I ended up cleaning them with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol to relube, and the stems ended up getting a bit cloudy and the dampeners got a little sticky. I thought I'd really messed them up. Thankfully, after lubing everything and putting it all back together, I'm pleased to report everything works well and sounds great.

The biggest thing for me is the feel. The padded but not mushy bottom out, light and long spring, and short travel distance combine to make it so I can feather these keys and have very little fatigue while typing for extended periods. I built this keyboard to account for some carpal tunnel creeping in from using MX reds on an aluminum plate, and it's really worked a treat. These switches feel great, and I don't have any issues in terms of sound feedback or typefeel in terms of typing accuracy. They're exactly what I wanted!

The only improvements I would want are better factory lube and/or the ability to buy these without the factory lube, and for them to be slightly quieter. They are quite quiet as is, but seem like the could get juuuuust ever so slightly quieter.
