Initial Impressions. Build Quality - These seem to be built very well, there is literally no movement between the top and bottom housing. In fact I tried to film them, but didn't have a lot of luck snapping the housings back together again as the film caused too the small latches to not catch properly. There is very little stem wobble, especially compared to my reds, but I don't have many points of reference. The unique construction of the switch gives them a very different sound from my cherry reds. My reds are filmed and lubed. The overall sound of an unmodded switch sounds very nice with a nice low (dare I say) thocc. They seem to have a bit of a pop on the return. Overall it is a very pleasant sound when typing. Smoothness - These are very smooth switches and there is very little scratch, but you can detect some when you hold it to your ear. It was really hard to tell, but the stem had a bit of a shine on it and that may be factory lube?? It was very light but I couldn't tell anywhere else. I cannot feel any scratchiness in my untrained hand. There is no spring ping that I can hear. The physical profile is very symmetrical north to south, they don't have that characteristic bulge where the metal contact/leaf reside in the switch. The upper housing does seem to have a lens to help capture the light from that sweet sweet RGB, it is a clear piece of material that passes through the lower housing to the top face of the upper housing. Overall my switches look great on my north facing keyboard. overall, very good switches!
