Varmilo VPE108 CMYK Hotswap Triple Mode White LED Mechanical Keyboard

First off, the keyboard... extremely well built. Solid beyond any Ducky or IKBC keyboard I've ever bought. Hotswap of the switches is a killer feature - don't like the cherry brown switches? Swap for the cherry red - or blue - or clear. I bought Cherry Brown switches and they are clicky but fairly quiet, not sure if I like that. I learned on an old IBM Selectric typewriter so I'm used to loud keyclicks. Height of the keycaps is a bit shorter than standard, which is what I had on my old IKBC keyboard. Might have to swap those soon because I'm having a hard time getting used to them.

The rechargeable feature is great, although I would have been fine with batteries. Signal, whether you use BT or wifi is very strong with good range. I use wifi in my office with ZERO problems.

However, the one feature I wish this keyboard had would be to reprogram the 4 keys in the top right. I love having those as dedicated media keys... not email, calculator, music player and file explorer. Software for this keyboard is limited, and you gotta dig for the manual on the website. Also, despite the manual telling me that various modes would be confirmed with the CAPSLOCK key blinking 3 times it never does.

All in all, definitely worth the price paid but it could be even better with some tweaks. Hopefully Varmillo makes it happen.
