This keyboard has a really great build quality. The zinc alloy top really gives it a premium feel to somewhat justify the premium price. They keycaps are very nice double shot PBT caps. Although, for a few of the keys it is difficult to see the light shine through them all the way particularly on the numpad. Other than that, there isn't much keycap wobble, and the Cherry Browns feel great. Overall, a great keyboard.
After using a keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches, no other keyboard will do. The Ducky Shine 7 keyboard feels solid and stays put on the desk. It doesn't wiggle when typing. The keys are moderately quiet and do not disturb the coworkers in the surrounding cubes. The only complaints I have are minor. Some of the letters on the keys don't fully illuminate and it would be nice if the dual character keys were stacked instead of side-by-side. The overall feel of this keyboard when typing impresses upon you that you are using a quality keyboard. Highly recommended.
Had a great experience so far with my keyboard, did not face the spacebar stuck problem mentioned by others wich makes me think it was a batch or a small mistake , however the rgb lightining being a dimm in a few keys is a real thing ( although i only have it in around 10 keys and mostly distributed on the numpad that doesn't face much use so it doesn't bother me).
This was my first MK but I was really happy with the purchase. I had no problems with asthetics or function. It's a very solid build and I would by it again.
Fantastic keyboard overall, excellent build quality and aesthetic. I got the Ducky with MX Brown's, coming from a Filco with brown's, keys feel great and the build quality has a more premium feel in the latest Ducky Shine 7. The RGB lighting also looks great, I was never really a big fan of back-lighting on keyboards, but it looks awesome. Addressing the issue I saw someone else have, the light shines through the keys perfectly fine, except a very slight portion of the e in the Pause button, but it's not hardly noticeable and I wouldn't have even noticed it without reading that review. The keys, being double-shot PBT are really nice and I would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a mechanical keyboard.
Well I have to say the build is incredibly solid but the light shining through the keys suck! The resolution of the clear part in the key cap where the light shines through is horrible and its not just 1 or 2 keys but I would say over half of them. My pause key I can only see the U. Its that bad. You can actually see it in the images supplied on the website. I thought it was just bad photography but nope its just that bad. Again build quality beyond real, the metal is great, the feel of the keys but the RGB back lighting and clear cast in the keys absolutely suck. Go somewhere else with your money. I wouldn't put this board anything over 50 bucks just based on that alone.
Keyboard works great and is extremely well built. Only complaint is that the num pad keys all have their text faded for some reason. I assume the etching was botched on those keys or something.
This is Ducky's best board since the Shine 3. The Shine 6 had these weird ridges in the back and awful feet. Ducky listened and fixed these issues with the Shine 7. As a huge Ducky fan it was so exciting to open this box and see the look & feel of this board. It comes with a few baby blue keycaps as extras, and the baby blue enter keycap is on the board out of the box - however, they do give you a black enter key to swap it out if you want. The gray and the black is beautiful on this board and the overall design is stunning and sleek I really can't find anything to complain about so far & I am extremely picky. Big up to Ducky for this one, they nailed it.
