Beautiful colors but terrible keyboard. My first mistake was probably buying this keyboard to play games with, but, a couple months into using this keyboard, I noticed that my 'W' key would randomly stop working. This is really frustrating especially for people who play fps games. After another couple of months, my 'D' key would start having the same problem, and then its my 'A' key, and now it's the ctrl key and space bar. It's like the keyboard can't take two inputs at the same time. Very very VERY frustrating to use when playing fps games. But two stars for the color :D
I've been having some of the same issues as H reported below, except for me it is the letter c or v which repeats (when copy and pasting). I also occasionally have similar connectivity issues as H does. Additionally Ducky does not seem to monitor their support email. And there's no support for Linux to update firmware.
Really lovely keyboard and color scheme, the cream and matcha green are very pleasant and looks even better in person.
The key caps have a slight texture to them that feels incredibly nice on fingertips. I got the board with Cherry MX Silent Reds and the typing experience is exactly what I expected - smooth and creamy! The sound quality is also exactly what I was hoping for, I'm noise sensitive and the Silent Reds are a perfect balance of quiet with just a hint of thonk.
It came with a key cap and switch puller as well as a few alternative key caps that are in a darker teal color. I got 2-day shipping and it arrived in perfect time. If you're looking for a solid board that's at a good price point, I would definitely recommend this one!
Such a lovely board, super happy with it. I read online about the keys repeating- although it has yet to happen on my end, I saw it was suggested to upgrade to the latest firmware (atm 1.11 - go to Official Ducky website!) and that fixed the problem. The keyboard is hefty and feels very nice to type on, while also not taking up a ton of room on my desk because it is TKL. I was able to change the switches to my preferred ones I had on hand already, and changed a couple keycaps to some customized ones I also already had, and I'm even more in love with it! Also super fast shipping with MechanicalKeyboards, thank you!!
Cute keyboard. Off white/creamish colored keys and base with a choice of pastel green and a darker teal-ish green in the box. Comes with a key cap puller.
I started a full time remote position and wanted to treat myself to a nicer keyboard that matched the aesthetics of my workspace. It was my first time buying a mechanical keyboard, and after a lot of back and forth I finally went with this one with red switches. The colors are perfect, and overall the keyboard is really nice and smooth to type on and has a nice weight to it, so it can handle my fast typing.
However after having used it for about two months now, there are a couple quirks that happen several times a day that are becoming a little frustrating to deal with. Occasionally I have a problem with keys suddenly repeating for a long stretch (i.e. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee), or the connection between the keyboard and my computer "drops" or pauses/times out for sometimes several seconds, and no input happens for a little while. I've tried searching for solutions to these problems and can't seem to find anything that is particularly helpful. It seems like it may be a software/driver issue rather than a mechanical one as the repeating keys aren't noticeably any stickier than others, and it's inconsistent which ones will do it when.
I'm just using it for office work so it's not especially problematic to deal with day to day other than being a little annoying, but I imagine these glitches could cause trouble for anyone wanting to use it for a lot of heavy gaming. I know mechanical keyboards are typically more expensive, but it even at this price point, it would be nice if it could perform without these problems right out of the gate.
I bought this keyboard July 21st, 2022. It arrived August 2nd, 2022. Good shipping time seeing as it was a pre-order as well!
I got this board with Cherry MX Reds.
The board itself is absolutely stunning, I love the color scheme, and overall it is very aesthetically pleasing to look at! The key caps have a light texture which is very comfortable on your fingertips, and it generally sounds great as well.
For the most part, the stabs are quiet and I don't notice much rattle in the larger keys,
However, I do have to mention that the space bar is quite atrocious. Compared to the soft, quiet sounding keys it has a very loud and hollow sound, along with a slight rattle from the loose/unlubed stabs, which is very distracting while typing, so in my case it'll require some decent modding before I will 100% enjoy using this as my daily.
It's not a huge deal, but I was hoping to not have to do any modding and just use it out of the box, as most video reviews I saw didn't seem to have this issue.
Nonetheless, Mechanicalkeyboards.com was very quick and easy to use for purchasing this board, and if I do come to decide to purchase another keyboard I will likely return here :)
4/5, removing one star for the loud/hollow space bar :(
Sounds really good for the price point and is a really nice-looking keyboard! Would recommend.
Awesome keyboard for this price point. Feels really nice to type on. The space key sounds a little hollow to me but not a dealbreaker. Love the color scheme as well.
Initially had some issues with keystroke registration especially noticable on the WASD keys while gaming. Contacted support and they offered many solutions, patiently guiding me to find a resolution.
I'm by no means a keyboard enthusiast but the quality of this keyboard with cherry silver switches is great. Leaps and bounds above the quality of my Corsair K70. Keys feel stable and the sound is very satisfying. Watch some reviews for a good idea of what it sounds like. I don't know if you can get any better at this price range.
Nice case, good caps, like the USB-C connector. Hotswap was the main reason I bought this. Out of the box, the bottom out on the plate causes an awful metal reverb "twang". Hopefully by doing some upgrades I can get that out, but that would be a dealbreaker if not. Price point is solid though, so not much to complain about.
