The Matias Quiet Linear Switches are quieter than other mechanical keyboards, and
have a sound level similar to a regular non-mechanical keyboard.

Most linear switches follow a simple coil spring design. This puts them at the mercy of Hooke's Law the farther down you press, the more the resistance force increases, until it becomes quite heavy (in relative terms).

With the Matias Quiet Linear switch, we've added a special internal leaf spring, that offsets the detrimental effects of Hooke's Law. It adds a little extra resistance at the beginning (when Hooke's Law's impact is small) that gradually decreases as the coiled spring's resistance increases.

This gives you a smoother, more stable, linear feel than any other linear switch.

If you're a court stenographer, or a late night gamer, or anyone else for whom noise is not an option, Matias Quiet Linear switches are no louder than the generic keyboards that most computers come with, and quieter than many of them.

Mostly quiet. Interesting mechanism of action.

This is an interesting switch. Although it's rated at 45g, feels more like 50g for actuation and bottom out, but is uniform throughout. Even at the bottom out it doesn't increase in force.

These work great for Guitar Hero Controllers!

Matias Quiet Linear Mechanical Switches Review

These are my favorite key switches still in production. They have just the perfect feel for gaming, and they're smooth enough that typing feels like you're typing on air. The thunk is also super satisfying but not too loud.

Matias Quiet Linear Mechanical Switches Review

The weirdest Switch I have ever tried. Even though it's linear or at least titled as such, the feel could be better described like a mixture of topres and mx-browns. I really like it but the shortened travel distance is a bit annoying.
