My favorite mechanical keyboard, I've tried romers, cherry reds, and low profile switches. After installing hyperspheres, plus thick grease. I've noticed that these switches feel crisp, and subdued.
Just got this keyboard, and it is lovely. I was bit worried about clacking sound that some people talked about on other reviews. But mine has solid thocky sound! It feels great, nothing like other cherry mx switches. RGB is awsome so as APC.
The keyboard itself is really good. It's been a joy to use it for over a year, but right after the warranty ended, a couple of LED's started going out (one blue, one red). For that, taking a star off.
This keyboard is really really good. Now as a warning this does not have the same thocky sound that one may get with a standard RealForce/Leopold board; however, by applying the silence-x rings from KBDfans the clack sound from the upstroke goes away. Regarding the typing experience it is still the same true Topre experience. I personally added some custom SA profile thick ABS keycaps and my oh my this board really is a joy! Im not a huge fan of the RGB, but it is nice to have an accent reactive lighting setup on the board to match your custom keycap set. I mean after all I think the biggest benefit to this board is the Cherry MX compatible sliders! Otherwise you can easily spend just this much on trying to get GOOD MX compatible sliders and modifying another Topre board. The stabilizers are extremely smooth and no rattle out the box. I give this board a 5 star simply because it has all the features I wanted Topre keyboard with Cherry MX compatible sliders FROM TOPRE!
will this keyboard ever not keep having its restock date pushed back
I feel like i'm coming to like your website
Got mine from this site. The keyboard is totally awesome. I see lots of youtube videos with badly recorded "clacky" sound. Maybe this is a matter of luck, but mine has a nice solid sound. It's not as "fat" as I used to hear on Topre's other devices. But it's still a "thock" and a very solid one. It sounds and feels waaay better than anything I tried on Cherry MX switches. I plan to try silence rings maybe to make it just a little bit quieter. The price is high and that is one of the two major issues with this keyboard. The second one is ABS caps. Come on guys, for $250-300 they must be PBTs, no options. But I need to say that the ABSes are fancy ones. They feel very freakin solid.
Wow, this a great keyboard! Videos almost all report this as a clacky sounding keyboard, but mine has a nice thock sound, and not clacky at all. Not overly bright, not too dim either, I'd say the lighting is just right. Keycap legends are quite nice. The software is not included, and downloadable from their site. It's only a convenience, nice and light, doesn't need to stay in memory to use. Much better than the CUE software for Corsair. I'm in love with this keyboard. In love I tell you!
