The keyboard worked great for about six months. Loved the look the feel of it , etc. Then the issues double input issues started, and never left. No amount of firmware update fixes it, I changed the switches and try to reseat them to make sure that it work, but alas.
I don't recommend this keyboard for the short lifespan that it has. Lack of ways to fix it.
Herees an exemple of what is loooks like when someoone types a reegular message oon onee of thesee keyboard ten moonths afterr purchase. Think agaiin
I've been in the mechanical keyboard game for some time now. I I have built many custom keyboards in the past and have heard good things about the ducky brand. I wanted to change things up and add to my collection so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this Frozen LLama One 3 SF. OMG! This might be hands down the best prebuilt keyboard I have ever laid my hands on. The stabs are buttery smooth, keyboard looks fantastic and everything works as it should. I highly recommend.
PS. The team at Mechanicalkeyboards.com are phenomenal! I had a slight issue with one of my extra spacebars on my keyboard and within a couple hours they already were sending a replacement spacebar. They have earned a customer for life in my eyes.
Coming from this from the Ducky one 2 mini after a few years of using it was great experience at first. Same quality build but in a 65% that I preferred over my previous 60%. Although I have to give a poor rating due to a flaw that seems to yet be resolved with firmware updates which is supposed to be the fix for the issue. While gaming there is a ghosting issue or feels like you randomly stop with holding the WASD keys (maybe others) in games like Valorant. It makes playing games like that unplayable. The keyboard works great outside of this issue but could be a reason to look at other options to avoid potential headache. Would give this 5 stars if this issue was resolved.
This is my second Ducky SF key board. I have the one3 SF daybreak edition with silent reds and now the frozen llama edition with cherry MX silvers. Highly recommend the Ducky SF board. I'm a software developer and this allow so much room on my desk. extremely easy to take care of and cant really complains. its been about 2-3 years of use since the One3 was launched.
This was my second keyboard ever, and probably my favorite. I got this with MX Blues and I feels like I m typing on ice. Absolutely beautiful and feels right, I have another 65 and this one is much more comfortable, feels bigger than it is. Color is beautiful and would definitely buy again. My favorite keyboard yet. Love the llama
first day having the keyboard, it has pretty bright colors but it doesn't light up enough to see the keys at night is the only thing wrong with it
Got the keyboard with the cherry red and is quite decent. Not the best keycap for shine through so the RGB not going to look the best but by default look with no rgb is pretty decent. I only bought this keyboard to see the modding capabilities was like and it was a mixed experience, I have no problem trying to pull out most of the switches, but the top number rows were a pain to get out because I have to pull the plastic case just a little bit to pull out the switches which is can damage overtime (Btw I swap it out for the akko snow blue grey switches). Is nice that it came with stock dampening around the pcb and is pretty good. The stabilizers is pretty good stock but still need it to be lube and is sound amazing after lube which is a must. The RGB adjustment is quite a learning curve because when I first own it for 2 days I have no ideal how to adjust the RGB color but after messing around is make sense later, and the manual don't tell you how to change the rgb color so do some research about the rgb of the ducky one 3 SF.
The back design of the board is another reason I bought this board which in my defends why I bought this board and the modding capabilities too.
The improvement I would like to see is the keycap need to be shine through, and a more in dept manual teaching you how to change the rgb color instead of a simple changing the mode.
Overall as my first ducky keyboard is not a bad buy if you getting into modding but not the best overall in my opinion.
[The extra keycap is nice in particularly the special spacebar]
Got the keyboard with the purple slush switches. Keyboard is great with virtually no pinging. The spacebar rattles slightly but not enough to annoy me. Very happy with my purchase.
this is a good keyboard I got the holy llama switches and I love them
I love it. I purchased one with the Holy Llama switches. I did have one issue where a key wasn't registering all that well, but it was easy to fix by removing the switch and re-seating it.
To start, I am relatively new to the "keyboard world", but I am currently typing this review with this keyboard - my first non full-size keyboard. Wanted something smaller than my Corsair Strafe (which I have been using for 3 years) to clear up some space on my desk, this was perfect for that. Did a good amount of research before pulling the trigger on something, but am totally satisfied with my choice. Absolutely loving these Holy Llama switches. Great feel, even better sound, especially compared to the Cherry Brown switches in my opinion. Actuation seems a bit heavier versus the MX Browns that I have been using for years, but I am assuming those have been broken in over the years, (not sure on actual numbers), but it's something I'll easily get used to - especially with how satisfying it is to type with. I'm a console gamer so I can't touch on how this would be for gaming, but may have opted for the Purple Slushes if I was planning on gaming - just for the linear feel. Definitely plan on grabbing another Ducky product or two in the future with some other switches. Thanks Mechanical Keyboards for the easy purchase and quick shipping. Did I mention this Holy Llama switches sound amazing?
I got the holy llamas with this keyboard. It is a really good keyboard for gaming. It's really high quality and the keys sound amazing. Highly recommend!
Picked with purple slush switches. Until now my preferred switch has been cherry silent red but this board has probably changed that. What an absolute masterpiece. From aesthetics to form, this board just feels right.
